G-Cloud 8 Award for Positive Purchasing’s Procurement and Negotiation Academies

17 August, 2016

Positive Purchasing Limited (www.positivepurchasing.com), the specialist training and consultancy business – and developer of the Red Sheet Negotiation planning tool – is delighted to announce that it has been awarded a place on the G-Cloud 8 (G8) Framework for the supply of cloud-based strategic procurement and negotiation Academies, competency assessment and supporting services to the UK public sector and arm’s length bodies. The award was made by the Crown Commercial Service (CCS), an organization which acts on behalf of the Crown to drive savings for the taxpayer and improve the quality of commercial and procurement activity.

Positive Purchasing’s online Academies are designed to deliver real and sustainable capability uplift for key procurement or negotiation skills. Built around the internationally recognized 5i® Category Management Sourcing, Orchestra of SRM® (Supplier Relationship Management) and Red Sheet® Negotiation Planning methodologies, each Academy combines the latest interactive and video eLearning technologies with on-demand access to a proven suite of processes, best practice toolkits, templates and resources.

Available on a subscription basis under the G8 Framework are 5i Online (incorporating SRM), Red Sheet Online and a fully customizable Corporate Academy. Specialist solutions comprise the Positive Healthcare Academy and the Procurement and Supply Chain Academy for the NHS.

To maximize organizational value from an Academy investment, additional specialist services include high impact workshops designed to support effective transitioning and accelerate learning outcomes whilst driving in a common language and ways of working.

To complement its Academies, Positive Purchasing offers a tiered Online Competency Assessment program. This can be used to identify individual or procurement team skills gaps against target competencies, enabling focusing of a tailored learning and development plan. Alternatively, a managed program can provide a customized experience to meet organizational needs.

Jonathan O’Brien, CEO of Positive Purchasing and Red Sheet Negotiation, said: “We are delighted that our application for the G-Cloud Framework has been successful. At a time when public sector organizations are being challenged to increase efficiency, reduce price and risk and decrease third party spend, it is vital that procurement practitioners and those who negotiate with stakeholders at all levels have easy access to best practice processes and toolkits. This will not only build confidence in negotiation outcomes but help to secure increased value from their sourcing approach, suppliers and the supply base.

“With our Online Competency Assessment and Specialist Cloud Services providing complementary and targeted skills development, our solutions can support the public sector through every step of the journey towards achieving a more effective and capable procurement organization with a reduced cost burden.”

The G-Cloud 8 Framework Agreement is fully EU compliant and saves public sector organizations time and money by providing easy access to a broad range of pre-qualified suppliers of cloud-based solutions and supporting services.
